15 Knots Beginners Kiteboarding Course
Learn to be a Self Sufficient Kiteboarder!
On a nice kite friendly beach setting, nice side shore constant winds, warm tropical temperatures, sunny skies and clear beaches, you will get to experience kiteboarding for the first time. The goal is to provide you the knowledge and skills so you can become a responsible self sufficient kiteboarder.
Is this course for you?
You’re new to kiteboarding and have seen others do it, you have friends that practice Kiteboarding, or you are crossing over from another water sport like Windsurfing, Wakeboarding or Surfing. You want to learn in a safe environment with professionals that can teach you patiently and in a logistical way. You aren’t familiar with Kiteboarding safety. If so, then this is the course for you!
Gear recommendations for the course
We provide all the equipment that you will need; from Kites, Harnesses, Boards, and Safety Equipment. Men and women should wear trunks or shorts and a water shirt.

Beginners Kiteboarding Course covers the following:
First Lesson;
· Kiteboarding Safety and Beach Etiquette
· Weather Interpretation
· Equipment set up and Tuning
· Kite flying on the ground
Second Lesson;
· Kite Flying on the Water-Body Dragging
· Self rescue Techniques
Third Lesson;
· Kiteboarding Waterstart
· Down Wind Ridding
Format / Duration
Beginners Kiteboarding Course is held in three-2 hours sessions. The 3 sessions are provided over 2 consecutive days.
Prerequisites
Good swimming skills
Good health and normal fitness level
10 years of age with guardian written guardian permission
Cost
$450.00 US and includes the following:
· Personalized instruction from highly trained and experienced 15 Knots Kiteboarding Instructors
· 1 instructor/assistant: 2 student ratio on the first and second lesson
· 1 instructor/assistant: 1 student ratio on the third lesson
· Basic Kiteboarder Student Manual & Work book
· Theory an Practice Sessions
· On the Water Instruction
· All Kites, Boards, Harnesses and Safety Equipment that you will need
· 15 Knots T-Shirt

Registration and Payment Details
To secure your spot in a course, we need to receive both your Registration and Release Forms and either a 50% deposit or full payment two weeks before start date. Any outstanding course balance is due two days before the start of the course. See our course schedule to register.
