15 Knots Intermediate Kiteboarding Course
Let’s Fine Tune Those Skills!
Already a Beginner Kiteboarder? If so, now the possibilities are endless. You can take down winders and explore new places. You can ride flat water or in the surf. Picture yourself out in the open ocean, ridding for hours on warm tropical waters and having one of our instructors follow you on one of our Jet Skis. You will be reviewing your rigging techniques and fine tuning those open water skills that an intermediate kiteboarder needs to know to be able to ride for hours and enjoy the sea with confidence.
· Intermediate Safety and Buddy Procedures
· Proper rigging of equipment for different conditions and riding styles
· Review and fine tuning body dragging
· Open water hands on re launching techniques
· Review and fine tuning water start technique
· Ridding in different directions and upwind
· Open water riding techniques and practice
Is this course for you?
You already know how to kiteboard but still need some tips on riding upwind, rigging your own equipment on different situations or ridding on different styles of boards, then this course is for you! Some times practicing the sport is not enough or you haven’t had the time or the previous proper advice to take it to the next level. Our Intermediate Course takes a Beginner Kiteboarder and fine tunes him or her on skills and techniques that only a professional or an experience Kiteboarder can offer.
Gear recommendations for the course
Men and women should wear trunks, shorts and or water shirt.

Format / Duration
Intermediate Kiteboarding Course is held over 2 days - 4 hrs on each.
Prerequisites
15 Knots Beginners Course or equivalent; must be able to provide proof of proficiency on skills and experience.
Good swimming skills
Good health and normal fitness level
Willingness to learn
Minimum 10 years of age with written guardian permission
Cost
$550.00 US and includes the following:
Personalized instruction from highly trained and experienced 15 Knots Instructors
1 instructor/assistant: 2-3 student ratio
Intermediate Kiteboarder student manual & student workbook
Theory and practice sessions
Open water instruction
Although we can provide all the equipment you may need, we recommend that you bring your own gear so you can get familiarized with it.

Registration and Payment Details
To secure your spot in a course, we need to receive both your Registration and Release Forms and either a 50% deposit or full payment two weeks before start date. Any outstanding course balance is due two days before the start of the course. See our course schedule to register.
